People are complaining that the speakers on the new MacBook Pros aren't working well.
Picture: The 2016 MacBooks were also experiencing similar issues.
Not longer after Apple patched the throttling issues on the new MacBook Pros, another problem has come up. Some users are reporting crackling speakers when playing audio. It's worth noting that, for some people, the crackling happens when using specific applications (eg iTunes, Spotify), however, it also happens when using any application or audio-playback device.
According to some users on the MacRumours forum page, they seem to think the crackling could be to do with radio interference, the T2 chip or rubbish audio drivers. The Next Web reports that "a source close to Apple" says the company have acknowleged the problem and are working on a fix. It's unknown whether this will come with a macOS Mojave beta build, or High Sierra Patch update.
Apple says the speakers are capable of "listening to new levels with wide dynamic range and more bass for maximum boom", along with noting that these speakers are the best ever on a MacBook. Not good for Apple once again, hopefully no other issues with their 2018 laptops.
