Apple analyst predicts that there will be no Apple Pencil support for iPhone this year.
Ming-Chi Kuo has released new predictions for the new iPhones coming in a few weeks time. Firstly, he believes that the two OLED models will be coming later in September after being announced.
He says that the 6.1" LCD iPhone also to be released, will be delayed to "slightly later this year". The timing is suggesting a release in October, but this is not confirmed. Last year Apple announced the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X but the iPhone X was available months later in November.
Kuo then goes on to predict that the 6.1 and 6.5 inch versions of the iPhone will ship with single and dual-SIM configurations. The 5.8" one will have a single SIM tray with embedded SIM support, but the eSIM is said to "not be activated".
Finally, the analyst is also against the recent rumours of Apple Pencil support coming to the iPhone. He reasons that the user experience will not be good, so Apple won't be adding it.
