Microsoft announces Surface Pro 6 & new lineup to compete with Apple's iPad
Microsoft has announced its new Surface lineup that will compete with the iPad.
The company has announced the Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2 and Surface Studio 2. The flagship product is the Surface Pro 6, which has always been a direct competitor of the Apple iPad.
The new versions comes in a matte black finish, and features the eighth generation Intel processors. It has up to 13.5 hours of battery life and weighs 1.7 pounds.
The Surface Laptop 2 now has 8GB of RAM at the base model (starting at $999) with a
2256 x 1504 display, 128GB SSD, USB 3.0 and Mini DisplayPort.
The Surface Studio 2, a competitor to the iMac, now has a 2TB SSD and much improved display - a feature that the iMac has always had. It is 38 per cent brighter, too.
This comes maybe weeks before Apple is expected to announce updates to its iMac and MacBook lineup, and also release the new iPad Pro with an all-screen design and improved internals.
