A new report suggests Face ID be upgraded next year and 2020 will see new iPads
Ming-Chi Kuo has released new notes today giving us some more information about what we'll be seeing on the 2019 iPhones, and some more iPad news.
He believes that next year's iPhones will receive an upgraded Face ID system, that will gain an improved flood illuminator that helps to reduce the environmental light interference when unlocking your phone. This means there will be less failed unlocks.
Kuo also says that we can expect the next generation of iPad [Pro] to be in Q4 of 2019 or early 2020. It could include the new 3D modelling tech from Apple in the camera.
On another note, not mentioned in this report, we will probably see a new iPad come out in Spring 2019. Note that this is not the pro-lineup, just the budget version. The iPad 7 will probably see processor upgrades and screen adjustments too.
