After complaining about faulty Face ID, the customer punched an employee in the face.
A 23 year-old iPhone X holder has said sorry after a video of him assaulting a female store employee went viral. We will not be providing a link to the video because it contains scenes that some may find upsetting.
Kritpan Kitjit, the customer, became in a rage when claiming his Face ID feature on the iPhone X didn't work properly. He demanded a replacement phone, but was denied because the complaint did not hold up to inspection.
The employee, Saijai Trinech, working for third-party Apple reseller Studio 7, said that she could send the handset off to be inspected, but Kitjit began yelling and getting angry. Apparently, he then tried to get into the storage room to get a photo of the manager, to report them. The female employee then tried to stop him, and got hit in the face.
Kritpan Kitjit was charged with bodily harm, but no charges were pressed by the employee. He has been charged $150 for causing harm and $1,500 in compensation.
