11 years ago, on June 29, 2007, Apple introduced the monumental iPhone 2G.
Today, we're introducing three revolutionary products. The first one is a widescreen iPod with touch controls. The second is a revolutionary mobile phone. And the third is a breakthrough internet communications device. So, three things. An iPod, a phone, and an internet communicator. These are not three separate devices, this is one device. And we are calling it iPhone. Today, Apple is going to reinvent the phone.

The iPhone 2G was an enormous change in the smartphone world. It featured an all-glass front, a 2MP camera, a maximum of 16GB storage and of course the new iOS software.
