According to a Chinese news website, Apple will release at least one iPhone with dual-SIM this year.
The functionality will be enabled by a custom Apple SIM, like the one that was introduced with the cellular iPad in 2014. The report doesn't specify if it's the expected 5.8", 6.1" or 6.5" model, but we predict the last. The 6.5-inch iPhone will probably be the most expensive one, with an OLED display and the higher-end materials like the iPhone X. We expect the 6.5-inch iPhone to be the most advanced iPhone this year.
But, Ming-Chi Kuo, a reliable Apple analyst, has predicted that Apple might release to 6.1-inch models this year. One cheaper, and one more expensive model. As a result, this could be referring to a nearly worldwide availability of an embedded Apple SIM, and a Chinese variant with two SIM card trays.
Dual-SIM is allowing people to switch easier between different carriers, data plans and phone numbers, which is great for business people.
