The device has been redesigned to feature an all-screen front, with no home button, upgraded internals and lots more.
There is now an Apple A12X Bionic Processor inside, with Neural Engine from the new iPhones, along with a Liquid Retina, edge-to-edge display. With no home button, you unlock your iPad with Face ID, that now works in any rotation. The TrueDepth camera on the front now also powers Memoji/Animoji and payments with Apple Pay.
There is a 10 hour battery life, the same as before, but this may differ. Storage capacity is now larger - there's a ridiculously high 1TB storage option. Apple has ditched Lightning for USB-C, that works with external displays and devices, and will also charge your iPhone too. This supports 5K output on displays.
Introduced with iOS 12, you now navigate the iPad with gestures, that are the same as the ones on the iPhone X.
Along with this, Apple have announced a second-gen Apple Pencil that charges wirelessly, with magnets that are on the sides of the iPad Pro and refreshed design.
The iPad Pro is available in 11inch and 12.9in variations, starting from $799 and $999 for the baseline 64GB storage options (this can be expanded to up to 1TB). The iPad Pro 10.5" remains available at a reduced price too.
