A report suggests the upcoming AirPods wireless charging case will work with all Qi-certified wireless chargers.
Apple announced the wireless charging case at its Special Event last year, alongside AirPower, the iPhone X, iPhone 8 (Plus) and other devices.
Chinese website Chongdiantou claims to have been in touch with sources within Apple's supply chain, who say the upcoming wireless charging case will work with all Qi-certified wireless chargers, so it's not exclusive to AirPower.
The second-generation AirPods is expected to launch this September, but without a wireless charging case in the box. Phil Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing at Apple, said the wireless charging case will be optional, so it must be bought separately. The price is unclear at the moment.
