We round up rumours & leaks and tell you what's coming at the October event soon.
It's likely that in the next few weeks, Apple will announce another event. This one expects to see the new iPad release, Mac upgrades and a lot more. What will we see? Take a read through our predictions and confirmations.
iPad Pro redesign
Apple has leaked the iPad redesign a lot. Iconography confirms an all-screen redesign, with possibly a glass back and new Smart Connector positions. It will also have Face ID, improved cameras and better display quality. The iPad Pro upgrade will feature new internals too, and possibly a better battery. There will be no home button or notch either.
AirPods 2 with wireless charging
We'll be seeing either AirPods 2 or a new case for the AirPods with wireless charging. Apple confirmed this last year, but never made any further announcements. It looks like we will also see new AirPods with Hey Siri support and waterproofing too - Apple actually confirmed that in the trailer before their September Event.
Um... Apple announced this in 2017 with the iPhone 8 and X launch. They then removed all mentions of it from their website and never spoke about it again. It looks like AirPower will be here now, as the booklets in the iPhone XS box mention a bit about AirPower wireless charging. This will be announced with AirPods 2, probably. About time.
Apple will be improving its iMac lineup this year. It's expected that they will update the processor to have the Intel eighth-generation versions in, and the display may also gain TrueTone and be improved in other ways. Nothing has leaked in terms of the Mac updates, so we don't know if a redesign is coming, but probably not. That's for 2019.
Budget notebook (MacBook update)
As Apple has discontinued the budget MacBook Air, we'll probably see a new budget laptop for students, that gains a Retina display, and internal upgrades. It will most likely keep the same design as the current MacBook, but may have a new name, we're not sure. The keyboard and trackpad will probably be improved too.
