Outlook for iOS has been updated with many design updates.
Announced today, the new update will be rolling to the iOS app only, which you can get from the App Store. It comes with an updated design and an improved user experience too.
Firstly, you'll notice there's a splash of colour and better header with the added blue theme at the top of the app, along with avatars and profile pictures for contacts, and your inbox view under that.
Some key updates and changes include:
Microsoft says these changes are rolling out and being tested via Apple's TestFlight app and the Outlook Beta on iOS. They have also announced this redesign just days after they talked about the new icons for Office apps (coming to mobile apps first).
Redmond also say that Outlook for iOS will receive a dark theme soon, after highly requested feedback. We'll let you know when Microsoft roll it out.
Author's Opinion: I really like this new design, and as I personally use the Outlook app on iOS, it's great to see it. I can't wait for the dark mode on my OLED iPhone X!
